The area

Jomtien is where highway from Bangkok meets the ocean. After 2 hours driving from Bangkok airport the new highways reach the ocean. You are in Jomtien Beach. You are now in the middle of South Asia.. You have about the same distance to India, China and Indonesia. The ocean you will se is Chinese sea. Here we have an average temperature of 30 degrees Celsius in the water.  When Europe have vintner you find the best climate for the whole year here.  It is 5-10 degrees colder than Phuket and humidity is lower. You will still have more than 30 degrees every day.

After a short bus trip you are on a ferry to Ko samet or Ko chang. Those are in fact the best paradise islands in Thailand. This according to the Thai people. On the weekends the Thai people from Bangkok come here themself. You also find 5 great islands just outside Jomtien beach.  You can reach them with a speedboat in less than half an hour. To rent a speedboat with a captain you have to pay 50 Usd / day. Then you can go from island to island. Make stops for fishing or take a bath of shore if you like. The captain will guide you to beaches that you are all by your one,  if you like.

When its come to Golf there is no places on this planet that can be compared with Jomtien.  Over 20 golfcourses and more to be build. Here you find courses that are in better conditions than the best in Europe. Only a few in the world can be compared with these. And all this for a green fee from 12 to 70 USD including a caddie.

Shopping in Thailand is already famous in the whole world. There is no doubt about that. You will find the prices 20 to 50% lower than the average tourist places.  For 50 cent you can take the bus to Pattaya. Here you will find big shopping malls and famous stores like Carrefore.

Why Asia
